How often is data updated?
Wizard Beans pulls data from the franchisee's point of sale (POS) system account. Some data updates throughout the day and some data updates once per day, early in the morning.
Look for the "Last Updated" time on every report. Keep in mind that even though the last updated time may display a time for today, the data end date is often yesterday's date.
For example, if today is the 21st of the month, and you select "This Month" for a time period, the data will be for the 1st of the month through yesterday (the 20th).
Where does the data come from?
Wizard Beans pulls data from the franchisee's point of sale (POS) system account. Most data will match what you see on the Analytics reports, but some metrics are calculated. Please visit the KPI Definitions page for more details.
Are Associates Names shared?
No identifying information (center name, associate name) is shared for people who are viewing Wizard Beans who are outside your organization. The performance metrics are shared to display nationwide rankings, but identifiable information is only displayed for Associates working in your organization.
Metrics, with identifying information such as first and last name, are displayed for Associates who are part of your organization. If an Associate from your organization is looking at Wizard Beans, they will see the names and metrics of other Associates who also work for the same organization, across all of your centers.
Are My Centers' Metrics Shared
Yes, the center level metrics for your centers are shared on the All Centers Metrics report. Your centers are identifiable by center ID and center name.
Associates do not have identifiable information shared outside of your organization. See the related question "Are Associate Names Shared?"
You can choose to use Wizard Beans without sharing your centers' metrics on the All Centers report. If you choose not to share your centers' metrics, then you won't have access to the All Centers report. To date, 99% of franchisees choose to share because they see the benefit of comparing against other centers.
Can I export to Excel?
Yes, Export to Excel will replicate the view you create on the screen, including any filters you apply to the data. You can turn columns ON/OFF and move them LEFT/RIGHT using 'Alter Table." Then export the view to Excel.
Is this for GSA, Waxers, Managers, and Franchisees?
Yes, Wizard Beans has role based access. Please visit the Roles Page under the Help menu for more details.
Associate accounts can only access Wizard Beans when they are connected to the center's Internet connection. They won't be able to access Wizard Beans from home.
Franchisees and Managers can access Wizard Beans anywhere there is an Internet connection.
Can Associates access Wizard Beans when they are not at work?

Franchisee and Manager accounts can login remotely.

Does this work on tablets and phones?
Yes, Wizard Beans works great on tablets. For phones, we recommend turning your phone sideways when viewing table data reports. You don't need an app. Wizard Beans is a website.
How many centers are using Wizard Beans
Look for "Count" or "Total" on each report page to view how many centers are reporting for the selected time frame.
Some centers go offline on any given day, due to their POS login info needing to be updated with Wizard Beans, but in general, around 95% of centers are online.
As of April 1, 2023, Wizard Beans partnered with EWC corporate to make Wizard Beans available to all centers nationwide.
What are the data masking rules on the All Centers report?
Since EWC is a public company, the SEC has rules regarding what information can be shared and when. We can't share nationwide sales results until those results have been shared with the general public.
We found a solution to provide meaningful data during the current quarter. Data will be limited, but not 100% hidden. The general rule is that until a financial quarter's results have been announced to the public, data for that quarter will be limited. For example, Q1 2023 (Jan - Mar) will be limited until the 1st quarter results are announced on an earnings call in early May.
During the current quarter, you can still view the nationwide ranking of your centers. You can click to sort by any data metric column, and view the nationwide ranking for each of your centers for that metric. So you will still know how your centers are performing during the current quarter. For example, you'll still know that your center(s) ranks #337th for SPT, or #725th for Package Sales.
You will see what the metrics are for the Top 25% and Bottom 25% nationwide.
Average and Median will be hidden during the current quarter.
We received requests to be able to view all centers in a selected region or state, during the current quarter, but we're unable to do so at this time.
